WINS THE PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR THE BEST WEB SERIES

Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, produced by the prolific content studio Applause Entertainment has been winning hearts thanks to its riveting storyline and gripping performances. The series boasts a stellar cast including Pratik Gandhi, Shreya Dhanwathary, Hemant Kher, Chirag Vohra, Anjali Barot, Brinda Trivedi, Jay Upadhyay, Sharib Hashmi, Satish Kaushik, Anant Mahadevan, Rajat Kapoor, Nikhil Dwivedi, K K Raina and Lalit Parimoo and is directed by National Award winning director Hansal Mehta. After receiving accolades from critics and consumers alike, the show has added yet another feather to its hat as it has been awarded the Best Web Series 2020 at the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2021. The show is based on the book “The Scam: Who Won, Who Lost, Who Got Away” authored by well-known journalists Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu.


Set in early 90's Bombay, Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story captures the meteoric rise and fall of Harshad Mehta- the flamboyant big bull of the stock market. When feisty financial journalist Sucheta Dalal exposed him as the man behind Bharat’s biggest financial scam of the time, it shook the nation.
